Important Note:
Refunds for equipment rentals and purchases are managed directly by the individual vendors, not by Quarry Rentals. Each vendor sets their own refund and cancellation policies, which are displayed on their listings before you complete a transaction.
1. Vendor-Specific Refund Policies
Each vendor on our platform maintains their own refund policy. These policies are disclosed on the vendor's profile page and during the checkout process before you confirm your booking or purchase. It is important to review and understand a vendor's refund policy before completing your transaction.
Vendor refund policies typically address:
- Cancellation timeframes and associated fees
- Weather-related cancellations
- Late returns or damaged equipment
- No-show policies
- Requirements for refund eligibility
2. Marketplace Service Fees
Quarry Rentals charges a service fee for facilitating transactions on our platform. These fees are generally non-refundable, even if the vendor issues a refund for the equipment rental or purchase. However, in cases where a vendor cancels a confirmed booking or fails to provide the equipment as described, Quarry Rentals may, at its discretion, refund the service fee.
3. Cancellation Process
If you need to cancel a reservation or request a refund:
- Log in to your account and navigate to your "Reservations" or "Orders" dashboard.
- Locate the reservation you wish to cancel and select the "Cancel Reservation" option.
- Follow the cancellation steps provided. The system will show you the applicable refund amount based on the vendor's cancellation policy.
- Confirm the cancellation. You will receive an email confirmation.
The timing of your cancellation is important as most vendors have tiered refund structures based on how far in advance the cancellation occurs.
4. Vendor-Initiated Cancellations
If a vendor cancels your confirmed reservation:
- You will receive a full refund, including all service fees.
- You will be notified immediately by email and through the platform.
- Our support team may assist you in finding alternative equipment if needed.
5. Dispute Resolution
If you have concerns about a refund or believe a vendor is not adhering to their stated refund policy:
- Contact the vendor directly through our platform's messaging system first.
- If unresolved, contact Quarry Rentals Support with details about your reservation, the issue, and any communication with the vendor.
- Our support team will review the situation and may mediate between you and the vendor.
- Quarry Rentals may intervene if a vendor is found to be violating their stated policies or our marketplace standards.
6. Payment Processing Timeframes
When a refund is approved:
- The refund is typically initiated within 1-3 business days.
- Credit card refunds may take 5-10 business days to appear on your statement, depending on your financial institution.
- Other payment methods may have different processing times for refunds.
7. Equipment Quality Issues
If you receive equipment that is significantly different from what was described or is not functioning properly:
- Contact the vendor immediately to report the issue.
- Document the problem with photos or videos if possible.
- Work with the vendor to resolve the issue through replacement, repair, or refund according to their policy.
- If necessary, contact Quarry Rentals Support if the vendor is unresponsive or unwilling to address legitimate quality concerns.
8. Exceptional Circumstances
In certain exceptional circumstances (natural disasters, medical emergencies, etc.), vendors may offer more flexible refund terms than their standard policy. These are handled on a case-by-case basis at the vendor's discretion.
9. Promotional Credits and Gift Cards
Refunds for bookings paid using promotional credits, coupons, or gift cards:
- May be returned as platform credits rather than to the original payment method.
- Are subject to the terms and conditions of the specific promotion or gift card.
- Expired promotional credits used for a booking may not be refunded or reactivated.
10. Changes to This Policy
Quarry Rentals may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The most current version will always be posted on our website with the effective date clearly displayed.
